bd275172a8 net: make NET a menuconfig (and downgrade NO_NET to a simple config)
This will allow a bunch of simplifications across the code base.
Disabling NET is the equivalent of today's NO_NET choice. This means
that if NET is enabled, either the legacy or lwIP stack is necessarily
selected, which allows us to simplify if NET_LEGACY || NET_LWIP into
if NET in a later commit.

Config fragments - or defconfigs including other defconfigs - setting
the network stack (NET_LEGACY or NET_LWIP) must also set NET (or unset
NO_NET) if the config they apply to - or the included defconfigs -
unsets NET (or selects NO_NET) as otherwise the NET_LEGACY and NET_LWIP
symbols are unreachable. This is the case for the two defconfig modified
in this commit.

NO_NET is now a convenience symbol which hides NET entirely to avoid
modifying many defconfigs. If one selected NO_NET to disable the
networking stack in the past, this will still work for now. Technically,
we should be using the "transitional" Kconfig attribute but that is only
available since Kconfig from Linux kernel v6.18 and we're on 6.1 right
now.

Note that this moves CONFIG_SYS_RX_ETH_BUFFER from under the Network
menu back into the main menu as it seems like it needs to be defined
even when there's no need for NET support at all and menuconfig option
doesn't work the same way as a menu.

b8cd444225 rename NET to NET_LEGACY
Highlight that NET really is the legacy networking stack by renaming the
option to NET_LEGACY.

This requires us to add an SPL_NET_LEGACY alias to SPL_NET as otherwise
CONFIG_IS_ENABLED(NET_LEGACY) will not work for SPL.

The "depends on !NET_LWIP" for SPL_NET clearly highlights that it is
using the legacy networking app so this seems fine to do.

This also has the benefit of removing potential confusion on NET being a
specific networking stack instead of "any" network stack.

8080ab6c28 move networking menu in net/Kconfig
In the main Kconfig, there are only two more menus, General Setup and
Expert, in addition to the net menu. Since the part in the main Kconfig
is mostly about selecting the network stack (legacy or lwIP), and that
we already have a net/Kconfig, let's move those to net/Kconfig to have
everything in the same place.

No intended change in behavior.

715107089f net: remove unreachable legacy LED code
The code is guarded by a condition none of the defconfigs meet (that is
CONFIG_SYS_FAULT_ECHO_LINK_DOWN and CONFIG_LED_STATUS_RED both enabled),
so we can remove the unreachable code sections.

When doing that, there's no caller for miiphy_link anymore, so it can be
removed.

This in turns makes CONFIG_SYS_FAULT_ECHO_LINK_DOWN and
CONFIG_SYS_FAULT_MII_ADDR unused so they are removed as well.

caa2ad6f8c tftp: make TFTP ports unconditionally configurable
A few lines of code being guarded by the CONFIG_TFTP_PORT option seems
an unnecessary restriction on the TFTP support provided by a vanilla
U-Boot image. In cases where the TFTP server cannot run as superuser -
and hence cannot run on the well-known port 69 - this quirk incurs a
full reconfiguration and rebuild of the bootloader only in order to
select the appropriate destination port.

Remove the CONFIG_TFTP_PORT option entirely and make the tftpdstp and
tftpsrcp variables always have an effect. Their being unset will mean
that U-Boot behaves the same as if CONFIG_TFTP_PORT was unset. Update
the documentation accordingly. And fix up the single board which was
originally enabling this option.

Add support for setting the TFTP block size. The default value (1468)
is fine for Ethernet and allows a better throughput than the TFTP
default (512), if the server supports the blksize option of course.

I tested this change with qemu_arm64_lwip_defconfig. The throughput is
now 875 KiB/s vs. 313 KiB/s before. That is still a low number, but I
think we can't expect more without implementing the windowsize option.

8cb330355b net: introduce alternative implementation as net/lwip/
Prepare the introduction of the lwIP (lightweight IP) TCP/IP stack by
adding a new net/lwip/ directory and the NET_LWIP symbol. Network
support is either NO_NET, NET (legacy stack) or NET_LWIP. Subsequent
commits will introduce the lwIP code, re-work the NETDEVICE integration
and port some of the NET commands and features to lwIP.

SPL_NET cannot be enabled when NET_LWIP=y. SPL_NET pulls some symbols
that are part of NET (such as arp_init(), arp_timeout_check(),
arp_receive(), net_arp_wait_packet_ip()). lwIP support in SPL may be
added later.

Similarly, DFU_TFTP and FASTBOOT are not compatible with NET_LWIP
because of dependencies on net_loop(), tftp_timeout_ms,
tftp_timeout_count_max and other NET things. Let's add a dependency on
!NET_LWIP for now.

SANDBOX can select NET_LWIP but doing so will currently disable the eth
dm tests as well as the wget tests which have strong dependencies on the
NET code.

Other adjustments to Kconfig files are made to fix "unmet direct
dependencies detected" for USB_FUNCTION_SDP and CMD_FASTBOOT when
the default networking stack is set to NET_LWIP ("default NET_LWIP"
instead of "default NET" in Kconfig).

The networking stack is now a choice between NO_NET,
NET and NET_LWIP. Therefore '# CONFIG_NET is not set' should be
'CONFIG_NO_NET=y'. Adjust the defconfigs accordingly.

Normally, when NET is enabled, CMD_NET will then be enabled and in turn
NETDEVICES will (likely) be enabled via imply. However, if we disable
CMDLINE in a defconfig we now no longer get CMD_NET enabling NETDEVICES

commands but network itself and is a legacy of how intertwined
NET/CMD_NET were historically. Move this over to the NET entry instead

- When u-boot sends out a DHCP request, the real DHCP server will

- This patch adds CONFIG_SERVERIP_FROM_PROXYDHCP (default false) to

  (default 100) which tells u-boot to wait additional time after
  receiving the main DHCP response to give the ProxyDHCP response time

- The PXE spec for ProxyDHCP is more complicated than the solution
  added here as diagramed on page 16:
  http://www.pix.net/software/pxeboot/archive/pxespec.pdf:

```
DHCP Discover will be retried four times. The four timeouts are 4, 8, 16
windowsize can be defined statically during compilation by
setting CONFIG_TFTP_WINDOWSIZE, or defined in runtime by
setting an environment variable: "tftpwindowsize"
If not defined, the windowsize is set to 1, meaning that it
behaves as it was never defined.
Choosing the appropriate windowsize depends on the specific
network topology, underlying NIC.
You should test various windowsize scenarios and see which
best work for you.
Commit b618b37076 ("net: Convert CONFIG_TFTP_BLOCKSIZE to Kconfig")
accidentally set the default *option* TFTP block size to 512 bytes, even
though the comment in the code says that this is a terrible choice. Most
boards didn't define the symbol before, so they got the default block size
of 1468 bytes before, but now use 512 bytes, which is also the fallback.
This leads to both abysmal performance and a lot of hashes printed
on the screen (one character for every 5K), which is both annoying and
slow over serial links.
Set the default block size in Kconfig back to the value it had before.
This improves TFTP performance from 2.8 MB/s to 6.9 MB/s on a Pine64.
a5a37567c4 Convert CONFIG LIB_HW_RAND to Kconfig
config_fallbacks.h had some logic to automatically select
LIB_RAND if RANDOM_UUID or CMD_UUID were set if LIB_HW_RAND wasn't
already selected.  By migrating LIB_HW_RAND to Kconfig, we can
remove this check from config_fallbacks.h and put it into Kconfig
11bde1cd59 Kconfig: spl: Add SPL support options to Kconfig
drivers. Currently these do not use Kconfig. Add them to Kconfig along
with suitable help, and drop them from the README.
